This is why the artistic world in Asia has also been taking inspirations from this religion from the very beginning. Sculpting art is one of the main genres among all the forms. As far as the Hindu art concept is concerned, the sculptures of various gods and goddesses play the most vital roles. There are many religious implications which are found in these artistic objects. Some of these sculptures are world famous for their symbolic appearances. Go through the following to know about some of the main sculptures found in the genre of Hindu art.

Sculptures and Their Significances in Hindu Art:
Human figures have always been the center of focus for the Hindu art. This aspect has resemblance with that of Buddhist art. The curves of the human figures are the most important things to study. Some of them speak about pristine beauty, whereas some may speak about peacefulness and on the other hand, some denote eroticism as well. The "Standing Parvati" is one of the famous sculptures of Hindu art which is supposed to have been made in the 10th century. Bronze is the material which is mainly used for these sculptures. The statues of Ganesha - the Indian god, are also remarkable. Ganesha is also one of the most popular gods in Hindu religion. The strength of this sculpture is something special to notice. One of the famous Ganesha sculpture has been discovered which belongs to the 13th century.

There are some of the sculptures of Hindu art which are very sensual in their looks. Most of them are based on women figures. The sculpture of "Goddess Durga" and the "Buffalo Demon" is one of the sculptures which represent the power of women. On the other hand "Yashoda and Krishna" is known for the motherly figure of the statue made of copper. The Khandariya Mahadeva Temple in Khajuraho is known for the erotic statues. But there are also some religious elements too. Mahadeva is the other name of Lord Shiva. So the main purpose of these sculptures was to worship this Hindu god.

"Nataraja" sculptures are very famous in South India. There are several temples where these statues of dancing god is found. Nataraja is also an image of Lord Shiva.

Bronze and stone made statues in these temples have been attractions for archaeologists for a long time.
