The religious sculptures of Buddha developed to incorporate the primary philosophy of Mahayana. However, the concept of Nirvana led to the introduction of the development of religious sculptures. The Buddhist sculptures took assistance from Maha Buddha. It gradually led to the development of Gandhara sculpture.
